• To process and deliver your orders
• To send order confirmations and delivery updates via push notifications
• To verify your identity via OTP during registration and password reset
• To manage your account and loyalty points

3. OTP and Phone Verification

We use your mobile number to send a one-time password (OTP) during registration and password resets. OTPs are temporary, single-use codes that expire shortly after being sent. We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Payment Information

Payments are processed through Razorpay, a third-party payment gateway. Alak Cart does not store your card details, UPI credentials, or net banking credentials. Please review Razorpay's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data with:

• Delivery partners: Your name and address are shared to fulfil your order
• Service providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Razorpay (payments), Firebase (push notifications and OTP) — all bound by their respective data processing agreements
• Legal authorities: When required by law

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level security on our database. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Children's Privacy

Alak Cart is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
